Dr. P.’s teaching: mindfulness, meditation & yoga
A 25-year practitioner of yoga, I’ve incorporated a variety of mindfulness tools into my practices. As Head of Crimson Coaching, I use breath work, guided visualizations, meditations, and journaling to help students suffering from test and social anxiety and those hoping to improve focus and concentration. (Read a brief published article about that here.) I also deliver public lectures about mindfulness and teens, especially as it relates to their academic experience, at libraries and community and religious organizations. I love helping teens (and older adults!) live balanced, happier lives.
Private or Group Yoga Instruction
Dr. P. has taught yoga throughout the metropolitan New York City region at gyms, yoga studios, corporations, and the non-profit Headstrong. Her repertoire includes restorative yoga, chair yoga, yoga for children and teens, as well as Levels 1 and 2 hatha-vinyasa flow based classes. Dr. P. now teaches yoga classes online and looks forward to soon seeing private students and small groups at their homes or in hers on Long Island..
